OVERVIEW

Discover the secrets of our award-winning Peruvian cuisine! Our culinary adventure will take you to see a typical Peruvian market where you will find a wide variety of Peruvian products and enjoy unique fruits. You will get immersed in the Peruvian culture trying local fruits, tapas, drinks, juices and interact with local people.

You will also explore the beautiful city of Lima and its three historical periods: Pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern. This tour will show you the most iconic sites in the city of Kings, Lima. It is a small group tour and you will be picked up from your Lima hotel (if in Miraflores, Barranco, San Isidro or central Lima).

ITINERARY

We will pick you up from your hotel in order to start our tour by visiting a typical Peruvian market. You will be able to see a great variety of Peruvian products, Be ready to taste different kinds of exotics fruits, coming from different parts of the country like the coast, the rain forest, and the Andes. Such as cherimoya, lucuma, aguaymanto and pacae.

After this, we visit an exclusive restaurant in Miraflores, where you will learn how to prepare the famous peruvian drink, Pisco Sour as well as the delicious and unmatched ceviche then you can enjoy an exquisite lunch that includes the most representative dishes of gastronomy.

In the afternoon we will continue our tour of the city of the Kings by heading towards the Historic Center of Lima, declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1991. This is where the center of the Spanish colony was established in the 16th century and the first buildings were erected. We then visit the Plaza San Martín, its balconies and old mansions, the Plaza Mayor and its most important buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop’s and Municipal Palace, the Desamparados Station, among others. Then, we will go to the Convent and Catacombs of Saint Francis; we will enter one of the most important convents of the 17th century. We will visit the old Library, the Choir, the Main Cloister and the underground crypts known as Catacombs.

Later we will go to the modern residential districts of Miraflores and San Isidro where we will visit the park of love, in the center of the park there is a sculpture called “the kiss” made by the artist Víctor Delfín, this is a very iconic place in Lima city.
